Group Spiritual Companionship
Are you wandering in your own inner wilderness? Join a small group of 6-8 fellow trekkers to find support and encouragement for the journey towards deeper connection with the Divine. These groups are “inter-spiritual” welcoming those of all faiths or none into a process of shared silence and inquiry.Usually 8 weeks in duration (meeting weekly) longer groups are also possible.
Offered by sliding fee ($80-160).
I will not die an unlived life.
I will not live in fear
of falling or catching fire
I choose to inhabit my days,
to allow my living to open me,
to make me less afraid,
to loosen my heart
until it becomes a wing,
a torch, a promise.
I choose to risk my significance,
to live so that which came to me as seed
goes to the next as blossom,
and that which came to me as blossom,
goes on as fruit.
Spirituality and Nature:
Have you felt ‘the outdoors is my church/temple’ or ‘this is where I feel closest to God/Spirit/Creator?’ For millennia, the elements of earth, air, fire and water – expressed on the land, in weather, in the seasons and stars, have been our home in the Holy. If this connection with what we name ‘nature’ is something you want to explore, please consider this six month group which will combine experiential contemplative exercises on the land with more traditional contemplative practice and sharing indoors. Co-facilitated by Josh Lisbon, MA and Marianne Spitzform, PhD, we will meet twice each month – once outdoors, once indoors, with an expectation of daily time outdoors and journaling between sessions. Join us to step into an inquiry: where and how, in the more-than-human world of nature, do I find the Sacred? Beginning early Dec. 2016.
By donation ($20/session suggested).
Special Topic Groups:
If interest emerges in areas such as Celtic or Wisdom teachings, or other specific practices such as Mindfulness and Depression, or Centering Prayer, these can be arranged if you have a minimum of five people who want to want to proceed.
